Wendy Blount, DVM

Dr. Blount is a companion animal (dogs and cats only) veterinarian, Texas A&M Residency trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine. In addition to her Internal Medicine referral practice, Dr. Blount presents Continuing Education Seminars for small animal veterinarians, veterinary technicians and animal control officers. She also teaches classes on various Internal Medicine subjects for clinics all over the state, and is a sought-after speaker for various veterinary events. Dr. Blount also conducts an undergraduate college course on "Medicine and Behavior in the Animal Sheltering Environment" for Duquesne University. She has also served as Medical Director & Surgeon for SpayNeuterNac and O'Malley PET (Preventing Euthanasia Together).

Dr. Blount has received several prestigious awards in the past including the Texas Veterinary Medical Association "Companion Animal Practitioner of the Year" for outstanding contributions to veterinary medicine, the "Bilderback Award" for support of the animal sheltering community and the "TAVP Clinical Referral and Consultation Award" which recognizes contributions that are made by outstanding veterinary practitioners.

Additionally, while in vet school and her early days of practice, Dr. Blount developed outstanding UltraSound skills. She further honed these skills during her Texas A&M Residency under the guidance of some of the best sonographers in the world. Over the years, she has now become well known for her UltraSound expertise and a veteran of literally thousands of successful UltraSound exams. She brings this extensive background in UltraSound to her popular day-long "Hands-On UltraSound Training" for clinics, as well as her UltraSound Seminars.

Bruce Dell, DPh

For this seminar, Dr. Bruce Dell will present a talk entitled:
"The Role Compounding Can Play in Today's Contemporary Veterinary Practice".


A pharmacist with more than 40 years of experience, Dr. Dell has practiced in many environments, including as Chief Pharmacist in the United States Air Force.

A pharmacy graduate of Ferris State College, with a Masters degree in Health Care Sciences from Central Michigan University, Dr. Dell has taught at several pharmacy programs, delivered more than 400 lectures nationwide, and is licensed in nine states.

Currently as Director of Research, Development and Innovation with Covetrus, Dell oversees formula evolution and professional training for the Covetrus family of pharmacies.
